Looking into the foyer.....grateful that the green brick is outta there! That was a challenge! |

Removing the kitchen cabinets - this will be our new laundry room and walk-in pantry. |

Connor had fun removing the green kitchen backsplash. |

"Now fear the LORD and serve Him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your forefathers worshiped beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the LORD. But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve....But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD." ~ Joshua 24:14-15

Took the day of from my paying job to focus on getting the demolition completed. Need one more day like this one and we should be in great shape...
So what did we do today - here's a short list...
- Finished demo of the wall between the breakfast and living rooms
- Finished demo of wall between old kitchen and dining room
- Cut countertop in old kitchen so can remove cabinets - confirmed they are loose so when they need to be moved, they can be!
- Removed tray ceiling framing and drywall from old dining room - tray ceilings are a LOT of work to put up for sure - really helps the room look bigger with the "raised ceiling everywhere
- Demolished built in cabinet in dining room - Connor had fun with that one!
- More baseboard heaters bit the dust
- Chipped away at the remaining wall in the MBR
- Dawn worked hard all day removing wall paper - oh what fun
- Took a full load of stuff to the dump - remember all that particle board from Saturday - gone now....
- Started to load up Big Red for another load -
- Surveyed the sprouting bulbs around the property- spring is here
- Kids enjoyed sitting out on the front lawn taking in the sights and sounds of Forge Road!
All in all a full day - ready for some sleep!
