Happy Independence Day!

Our family is certainly appreciating our freedom and liberties this year more than ever....the more one reads the words of the Founding Fathers and compares them to today's "leaders", you can't help but notice a huge chasm...I hope today is more than pool parties, fireworks, and cook-outs....Let's take time this day to repent and pray for this nation, to remember that our Founding Fathers were willing to sacrifice their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor.  If Great Britain would've "won", these Godly men would've lost everything, including their earthly lives (and many have given their earthly lives for our freedom).  If we don't get back on track, freedom as we know it today will not be our future.

"Proclaim Liberty to all the inhabitants throughout the Land."  -- from Leviticus 25:10 (and etched on the Liberty Bell)

"if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.  Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place."  -- 2 Chronicles 7:14-15

A government big enough to give you anything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have.  ---Thomas Jefferson

"...that grand experiment in self-government which began on July 4, 1776, cannot protect our liberties if we do not act to enforce it. Benjamin Franklin explained that what the Framers has created was “a Republic, if you can keep it.” How do we keep it? A quote attributed to Thomas Jefferson is the perfect response: “The price of liberty is eternal vigilance.” "
